Louis CK adds new dates to 2015 tour

Louis 480

If you’re jonesing for a Louis CK fix, the next few weeks might fill your veins with syrupy-sweet goodness. The actor, writer, and Louie mastermind is taking his standup show back on the road for a series of high-profile engagements this January. And, after some rapid-fire sellouts, Louis has been good enough to add more shows to his itinerary.

First up: the good news. Here’s the list of shows:

Monday, January 5th: Chicago, IL @ The Chicago Theater (Early Show–SOLD OUT)
Monday, January 5th: Chicago, IL @ The Chicago Theater (Late Show)
Tuesday, January 6th: Chicago, IL @ The Chicago Theater (Early Show–SOLD OUT)
Tuesday, January 6th: Chicago, IL @ The Chicago Theater (Late Show)
Wednesday, January 7th: New York, NY @ Madison Square Garden (SOLD OUT)
Sunday, January 11th: Inglewood, CA @ The Forum
Wednesday, January 14th: New York, NY @ Madison Square Garden

These are possibly the biggest shows, attendance-wise, that Mr. CK has ever performed. Selling out Madison Square Garden’s 15,000-ish seats is not something comedians do every day. Nor is playing The Forum. The Chicago Theater seats 3,500, so that’s 14,000 sore bellies over two nights. But the shows, as always, cost $45 per ticket, so it’s not as if the man has an inflated head these days.

Now, the bad news: If you live outside of a 200-mile radius of those three cities, it’s going to be difficult for you to get hold of a ticket. Louis explains that that’s a new effort on his part to cut down on scalping:

If you are outside a 200 mile radius- you will not be able to purchase tickets. We do this as one of many methods to monitor and prevent scalpers. Out of state people can email tickets@louisck.net and have a chance to still get a ticket.

We have implemented several scalper prevention methods, and have and will invalidate tickets if they fit into criteria that is usually associated with scalpers–so anyone buying from a scalper site, be wary as those tickets can be invalidated at any point.
Please come and see me. I like it when people are there.

And people like being there when you are talking into a microphone, Louis CK.
