Turns out that Baby V is actually Baby N!
According to Catelynn Lowell’s Facebook fan page, which is run by her mom and Tyler Baltierra’s mom, the Teen Mom stars are naming their new baby girl “Nova.” The couple revealed the name at their baby shower last weekend, which was filmed by MTV producers for the new season of Teen Mom. (They are seen below with the camera crew.)
In astronomy, a nova is “a star that suddenly increases its light output tremendously and then fades away to its former obscurity in a few months or years.” Or, more simply, it means “new.” The stellar moniker has steadily risen in popularity throughout the last three years: According to the Social Security Administration, it was the 529th most-popular baby girl name in the United States in 2013. Nova is, of course, the name of Teen Mom 3‘s Briana DeJesus’ daughter.
Baby Nova Baltierra is due in January 2015.
