On tonight’s new episodes of TLC’s 19 Kids and Counting, Jill and Derick Dillard continue to prepare for their wedding by taking engagement pictures with the help of Jinger Duggar and picking out their wedding bands. Meanwhile, Ben Seewald earns his keep at the Duggar house by tackling “a long list of chores to be completed by day’s end” and Josh Duggar encounters his old trainer.
In real-time, the Duggars seem to be just as busy now that Jill is expecting, Jessa is planning her own wedding and the rest of the family is helping out with various campaigns.
Pregnant Jill Dillard starts baby registries, closes out her first trimester
Jill and husband Derick marked the end of her first trimester this week by sharing a personal video where they thanked fans for prayers.
“We’re excited and trying to get things in order,” Jill said. “Stay tuned to the show. They’ll be updating… They’re already starting to film stuff with the pregnancy and we’re doing lots of videos.”
Derick added, “We can’t wait to be parents.”
As part of their pre-baby preparations, the new parents already started baby registries at WalMart and Amazon. The wish-list ranges in price from a bit more than a buck for 20-oz. bottles of Dr. Pepper and baby snacks to a $200 jogger stroller. They’ve already received a set of magnetic letters and numbers as well as an infant changing pad.
The Duggar family stars in 19 Kids & Preaching
The whole family appears in 19 Kids & Preaching from Living Waters Publications, an evangelism-oriented media company connected to Bill Gothard. In the new video, the Duggars “unashamedly testify to their Christian faith” outside the White House and at a university.
“You’ve no doubt seen them on TV, but we guarantee you’ve never seen them like this,” Living Waters founder Ray Comfort says in the trailer. “Open-air preaching in front of the White House and obeying the command to go into all the world and make disciples.”
The video is available for download now or on DVD in October.
Michelle Duggar celebrates her birthday
Matriarch Michelle turned 48 on Saturday and marked the occasion with plenty of help from her kids, who decorated the house with a personalized banner and gave her a gift basket full of treats.
“Wishing a happy birthday to my best friend, my life partner, the best mom I know and a wife really beyond my dreams! I love you, Michelle,” husband Jim Bob Duggar said on Facebook. She also got public birthday wishes from her adult children on social media and was treated to a day of pampering by Jill.

After the day of celebrations, Michelle expressed her gratitude on Facebook: “Wow! That was sweet. I want to thank all of you for the precious birthday wishes and kind words. 48 years today! I have so much to be thankful for and my heart is full of appreciation to God, to my family and to our sweet friends.”
