“It would be easy to say that the pants changed everything that summer. But looking back now I feel like our lives changed because they had to, and that the real magic of the pants was in bearing witness to all of this and in somehow holding us together when it felt like nothing would ever be the same again.”
The stars of The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, the film adaptations of the treasured book series from author Ann Brashares, recently got together over brunch and a pic from the happy reunion was shared via Instagram.
Blake Lively, Amber Tamblyn, America Ferrera and Alexis Bledel were all smiles in a photo that Tamblyn posted on Monday. She wrote, “Brunch with my best b*tches. #sisterhood @preserve_us @americaferrera”
The four successful young women have remained friends in the 8 years since their roles as Tibby, Lena, Carmen and Bridget brought them together.
Ferrera told ET in October 2013:
“We’ve been a part of each other’s lives in really meaningful ways that go beyond making a movie together. We almost forget that we made a movie together because our friendship was created from so many other experiences. The fact that our friendship started in this beautiful film that was so meaningful to all of us and to our lives and our careers and to our friendship, we are always so grateful for it.”
Earlier this year news broke that a third installment in the film series, Sisterhood Everlasting, was in the works.
