On November 4, 2011 the peaches of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta return to their Southern motherin’ and boo checkin’ that made them the most watched Housewives franchise! Today Bravo released their official preview trailer for the new season and it looks like business as unusual for the ladies of The ATL:
Holy smokes that looks great! Judging from the trailer here are a few of the high(low?)lights we have to look forward to this season:
• The ladies (sans Kim Zolciak) take a week-long vacation to South Africa! It’s lions, and tigers, and… making it rain? Oh my!
• Kim Zolciak’s pregnancy and the birth of her son Kroy Jagger! Though it’s hard to imagine a pregnancy being any more jaw dropping and entertaining than Phaedra Parks’ (“My baby looked Chinese.” And who can forget half-dollar belly bands?!?), if anyone can come close it would have to be Kim Zolciak! (Let’s all have a moment of silence for poor Sweetie.)
• Phaedra Parks gets into the funeral home business! Phaedra talked about this towards the end of last season, but I thought it was too good to be true. But, everybody knows nothing is too good to be true when it comes to Phaedra (including bejeweled funeral programs!) “I cannot wait to get my hands on a real body!” Oh, and poor Apollo, because “everybody knows family run funeral homes need someone to go pick up the bodies.”
• Kandi Burress goes country with Jo Dee Messina! Yee-haw y’all!
• Newbie Marlo Hampton appears to be the designated NeNe Leakes punching bag this season as she is dating NeNe’s alleged ex lover Charles Grant. I’m as tired as most folks of NeNe’s predictable outbursts, but this one could be kinda fun 🙂
• Legal drama between Sheree Whitfield and her ex as they go to court. (It will be nice seeing Sheree with a viable storyline again.)
• Man drama between Cynthia Nixon’s hubby Peter Thomas and Phaedra Parks’ uber handsome hunky hub Apollo Nida! This will be the first time I will get to enjoy an Apollo sparring match since Rocky! (This time I’ll be in Apollo’s corner though. That’s Mr. Phaedra Parks y’all!)
