Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are close to tying the knot, she confirms
After 10 years together, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are finally close to tying the knot… Thanks to help from some special wedding planners.
“We are discussing it with the children and how they imagine it might be,” Angelina told People this week. “Which is verging on hysterical, how kids envision a wedding.”
Angelina said the kids — Maddox, 12, Pax, 10, Zahara, 9, Shiloh, 7, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 5 — are still divided about a good theme.
“It’s going to be Disney or paintball,” she joked. “One or the other!”
The mother-of-six also opened up on how parenthood affects the nature of her relationship with Brad Pitt. (She adopted oldest son Maddox as a single mother, but went through subsequent adoption processes for Zahara and Pax with Brad Pitt. He’s since legally adopted the children.)
“You’re not lovers or boyfriend and girlfriend as much as you are a family,” Angelina said.
With the support of that family, Angelina made the decision to undergo a double mastectomy after discovering she carries the gene that makes her more genetically disposed to both ovarian and breast cancer. She publicly revealed that decision in an op-ed for The New York Times exactly one year ago today. Looking back on both the surgery and opinion piece, Angelina told People she doesn’t have any regrets.
“I’m really happy about the choices I’ve made and I feel even more connected to other people, especially women.”
