The daughter of legendary country artist Alan Jackson was arrested early Wednesday and charged with underage drinking and assaulting an officer.
Alexandra “Ali” Jackson was a passenger in a Range Rover that was pulled over by authorities for speeding and tailgating south of Music Row in Nashville, Tennessee, according to the 20-year-old’s arrest warrant.
While an officer was questioning the driver, Jackson was said to have gotten out of the vehicle and made angry demands. Police noted that she had “consumed a large amount of alcohol.” The arrest warrant stated that Jackson also resisted when an officer attempted to handcuff her and that she stated her famous father, “would do anything I wanted him to do.”
Ali Jackson was charged with consuming alcohol under 21, resisting arrest and assaulting an officer. She is scheduled to appear in court Sept. 23. The booking photo (seen above – you can click on the image for a full-page view) showed a teary-eyed Jackson.
Alan Jackson’s publicist said the singer had no comment on the arrest.
