Nicki Minaj is joining the ranks of Kim Kardashian and Ice T — at least according to new reports. After landing a gig on American Idol earlier this month, Nicki seems to be on a roll and has now allegedly landed her own reality show on the E! Network.
“I find the more people see, the more they understand, and then it’s the more they like you,” Nicki says, hinting that people may be getting to know her a bit better in the upcoming months. “When you pull them in your world, they see you as a real person. I’m not running away from it anymore.”
Nicki has already began filming the new series and according to reports, the show will not premiere until after American Idol, which debuts this January on FOX.
“I thought I’d never do something like [a reality show],” Nicki adds. “I’m just like, ‘You know what? This is my life.'”
So far, there is no word on what the show will feature but with her “Pink Friday: Reloaded Tour” set to begin next month, it could have something to do with that. Nicki will be kicking off the tour in England where she’ll do several shows before heading to Ireland, Wales, New Zealand, and Australia.Between her tour and her American Idolgig, Nicki is going to be a busy bee. In fact, she’s already had to cancel several shows on the tour because of schedule conflicts. What better time to film a reality show?
UPDATE: According to Gossip Cop, Nicki will not be filming an entire series for the E! Network, but she will be starring in three specials which will document her tour and preparation for her new judging gig.
