Celebrities have some crazy demands sometimes, but it can also probably be pretty weird having to deal with crazed fans. Madonna has taken protecting herself to a whole other level.
She’s so afraid that someone will swipe her DNA, a hair fiber, or even traces of sweat or skin, that she has a “sterilization team” with her on tour to wipe the place clean after she’s done.
Concert promoter Álvaro Ramos, who oversaw the Portuguese portion of her show, spoke about her demands to The Mirror:
“We have to take extreme care, like I have never seen for any other artist. We cannot even look at the dressing room, after it is ready, or even open the door.We can only enter after her sterilisation team has left the room. There will not be any of Madonna’s DNA, any hair, or anything. They will clean up everything. In the end it is all to protect her and make her feel comfortable. I do understand it, but it is taken to extremes.”
Why would it be so terrible if someone was creepy enough to do that. What’s the worst that could happen? They sell your hair on eBay? Create a creepy shrine? Clone you? Maybe that’s what she’s a afraid of, someone will clone Madonna, and instead of competing with younger girls who are copying her, she’ll have to compete with a young girl who is THE EXACT COPY of her.
