Casey Anthony breaks silence: ‘Obviously, I didn’t kill my daughter Caylee’

Piers Morgan landed an exclusive 10-minute telephone interview with Casey Anthony and later reviewed what was discussed with her attorney J. Cheney Mason.

Morgan relayed Casey’s message of innocence in which she claimed that, “If anything, there’s nothing in this world l’ve ever been more proud of, and there’s no one I loved more than my daughter (Caylee).” The notorious “Tot Mom” added that her late child was her “greatest accomplishment.”

In addition Casey tried to address the public persona that she’s just a thrill-seeking girl looking to party. She said she’s “never been a party girl” and added, “I don’t drink now,” and that she’s “probably had a handful of beers” since being placed on probation.

As for the widely reported idea that she was looking to rake in money by telling her side of the story the now 26-year-old kind-of, sort-of denied it.

“I’m not making gazillions of dollars at the hands of other people, or trying to sell myself to anyone willing to throw a couple of dollars at me.”

Here is a clip of Morgan with Cheney from last night’s telecast:

In the clip Mason shared an anonymous letter in support of Anthony in which it was written:

“At no time did any of the horrible news media ever choose to portray Casey as a good mother. And I never saw one photo, one video, that did not show a very loving and caring mother. A small child that was so open that there would have been clues in her expression or interaction with her mom that she had been mistreated in any way.”

According to Mason, while in seclusion Anthony has been passing the days by reading The Hunger Games and watching reruns of I Love Lucy. Casey confessed to Morgan that she was “ashamed in many ways” of her previous behavior that became so public during her trial, but that after having “gone through hell” she’s a more mature person now.

She is the only person in the world that I wish death upon.

      • Weee

It is really said that you prefer to wish death upon somebody who has not been proven guilty without reasonable doubt of any murder instead of mass murderers…
I don’t want to say that she is for sure innocent, but the fact is that we don’t know what happened. You should watch the documentary “The Overlooked Suspect: The Movie”.

Obviously, if she were black, she’d be awaiting death row.

      • Kelly

Was it really necessary to bring race into it? I think not.

The odds are in favor of his statement being more true than false.

          • Kelly

I’m not saying that this person is statistically incorrect, I am saying that whether or not more black people are put on death row than white people is irrelevant to this article.

            • Bailey

Did your white privilege feelings get hurt because someone implied POC aren’t treated as well as white people are?
              Get over it.

              • Kelly

I never said I was white. You have no idea what race I am, but good job making assumptions. Seriously, grow up. All I said was that there was no reason for race to be mentioned here. You cannot say with absolute certainty that the jury’s decision was based on race. I myself believe she is guilty, but the burden of proof lies with the prosecution, and they did not do their job.

well then i almost she was.

        OJ was black

    • hanna

i still believe her dad had something to do with it, iI kinda feel she snaped.like she had a mental break down.iI know no exuse and she should still be punished

    • Jayla

Nothing to do with race. They waited to long to bring her to trial and brought too much evidence, it all confused the jury too much that noone could make a confidant decision. Exactly the same thing happened with OJ, another high profile case. When will America learn to put justice before media?

      • Bailey

It has a lot to do with race.

Just as the OJ Simpson case had a lot to do with his celebrity status.

        Its all about privilege.

        • Weee

Maybe OJ is really innocent of murder… after watching the documentary theoverlookedsuspect, my opinion on that case changed a lot.

        • Kelli

Get over yourself, it has nothing to do with race. Sick to death of people ALWAYS bringing to race card into play. Whether she’s white, black, yellow, purple, WHATEVER- she’s guilty and the jury made a mistake. Blame the jury, not race. Get off your high horse and leave race out of it. White people do not “owe” black people anyhting, so stop acting like it. Race is not the issue here, it’s injustice. Grow up.

how nice for casey, reading the hunger games, probably writing a book, NOT looking for her child’s supposed killer.

id still love to hear her explanation of how a strand of caylee’s hair with the death band on it got into the trunk of her car.

      • Dianna

duhh shes not looking for the real killer. she knows who it is and sees that person every time she looks into the mirror.

to me the fact that shes not looking who killed her daughter proves even more that shes guilty. there are soo many mothers out there who have missing kids who have dedicated their lives to finding them. its a mothers instinct to protect their kids and to make sure the person who hurts them pays for it. i dont have kids but i have a little sister and if anybody did something like that to her the person wouldn’t have a chance to go to trail cuz i would of get my own form of justice first, AND happily go to jail for murder too. =)

    • Weee

We all don’t really know for sure what happened – no matter what we might believe (feelings are no proof and can be wrong).
Sometimes many people are convinced that somebody is a murderer, because everything seems sooo obvious, and later new evidences show that they are innocent . Just think of the case where a dingo killed an Australian baby – the mother spend years in jail and received lots of hatred. Amanda Knox was also found innocent of murder in the second trial. Many people spend years in jail for crimes they did not commit because their guilt seemed so obvious.

someone who says ‘obviously’ is clearly lying, like who says that word. someone who usually lies says that word. shes a liar she killed her daughter. she lies alot and doesnt give a shit about the death of her daughter. a real mother would want to find the person who killed their child. i know i would. shes a waste a human life
