VIDEO Compelling evidence that Jersey Shore is fake

I know what you’re all thinking. “Who didn’t know that all these reality shows are staged?” That’s a fair point but what we have here is a compelling and thoughtful break down of a particular moment that seems to indicate beyond a reasonable doubt that a scene from Jersey Shore was totally a set up. Believing something and knowing something can be two different things and the following certainly turned me off a little on the guidos and guidettes of MTV.

This clip comes courtesy of comedian Sean Klitzner in a series he calls The Fixify. He pointedly states that he’s a fan of reality TV and as long as he can’t tell that what he’s watching is fake he can enjoy it for what it is. That kind of sums up how I feel about the genre too. It’s kind of like genuinely talented magicians, you want to be fooled and within that lies entertainment and for lack of a better word, magic.

The clip comes from episode 11 of the most recent season where the crew heads to Italy. In the particular scene Deena and Snooki head to a bar while everyone else chills back at the pad. You may remember the ice tossing incident where a bar patron or bartender allegedly threw ice at Deena and this started an alcohol induced bottle breaking rage-fest from the two ladies. Wellllllll…….

I have to give it to Sean, it’s pretty hard to dispute his analysis of that scene. Here’s a bullet point list of what he gathered from the video:

♦ Deena is looking right at a lady who’s face is not blurred out when the ice is thrown.

♦ The bottles on the bar are all cheap mixers that wouldn’t cost that much to be damaged.

♦ The bar is empty in what’s supposed to be a packed club.

♦ A lady leans in and appears to give Snooki bottle breaking directions.

♦ When the camera pans to who threw the ice you see a hand retract. Said arm belongs to a woman who’s face is not blurred like the other bar patrons (you do not need permission to show a face of a show’s employee). This woman is wearing an ear piece connected to a walkie talkie in hand.

So what do you think? Is this irrefutable proof that Jersey Shore is staged? It’s hard for me to argue against Klitzner.
