Zach Galifianakis is engaged, wedding date set

Zach Galifianakis engaged to Quinn Lundberg

I wonder who will be the Hangover style bachelors at Zach Galifianakis’ upcoming wedding?

That’s right. The actor, comedian and talk show host, among many other talents, is engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Quinn Lundberg.

Celebuzz has a source who’s already received a wedding invitation. The date of the ceremony for Zach (42) and Quinn (29) is August 11th, 2012. The source said:

“While it has the formal and standard details of who, what, when, where – including Zach’s full name Zachary Knight Galifianakis and his fiancée’s, Mary Quinn Lundberg – it is also very funny. Zach included a drawing of himself and his bride-to-be. He made sure he looked like a little troll, while Quinn is a stunning tall blonde princess.”

Quinn is the co-founder of Growing Voices whose mission is to:

“Creates a direct line of support between donor and recipient, which addresses issues of accountability and promotes a humanistic approach to giving.  We hope that by providing a network geared towards a respectful informational exchange, gifting, and no fee volunteering, you will be inspired to participate in change at the grassroots level.”

And here’s the bio on the soon-to-be Mrs. Galifianakis from GV’s site:

Quinn Lundberg graduated in 2010 with a degree in International Conflict Resolution from the CUNY Baccalaureate Program (Hunter College) in New York City. While a student, Quinn volunteered for UNICEF under the web production unit where she developed her writing, producing and editing skills. It was Quinn’s travels through Afghanistan, Bosnia and Africa that led to her belief in supporting development through community based projects and grassroots organizations. As a trained dancer she cultivated an affinity for using the arts to assist in conflict rehabilitation and hopes to apply this in her future works. Quinn manages Growing Voices from the headquarters in Brooklyn, New York.

Congrats to Zach and Quinn. I wonder if the ceremony will take place between two ferns?
