Young Thug jailed for eight felonies including ‘intent to distribute meth, hydrocodone and weed’
Rapper Young Thug, real Jeffery Lamar Williams, has a new album called ON THE RVN dropping any time now, but he’s currently sitting behind bars. XXL reports that Williams turned himself into the police yesterday after a warrant was issued for his arrest.
He skipped out on a guest appearance at a J. Cole KOD concert the night before in Colorado to head to Georgia to face his charges of “possession and intent to distribute meth, hydrocodone and weed . . . two counts of codeine possession and possession of amphetamine, Alprazolam (Xanax) and a firearm.”
Williams’ arrest happened a year ago in Brookhaven, Georgia. He was pulled over for a tinted window, but police found 2.5 ounces of marijuana, $50,000 in cash, a gun, and other drugs in the car.
The possession of marijuana alone can land him serious jail time in Georgia. In addition to those charges, Williams is facing a felony gun possession charge from August 17, 2018 when police crashed his 27th birthday party at an L.A. Dave & Buster’s restaurant.
His Instgarm account currently has a single image: a notebook with handwritten promotion of ON THE RVN and hints at collaborations with Elton John, 6LACK, Jaden Smith, and T-Shyne.
