Will Walter White and Jesse Pinkman be on Better Call Saul? Aaron Paul says…

Walter White - Jesse Pinkman

During a chat with HuffPost Live this week, Breaking Bad‘s Aaron Paul let some HUGE news slip about the show’s future.

“I didn’t think that news was supposed to be public yet but yeah, we are doing another season,” Aaron said… Before adding, “No that’s a lie. That’s not happening guys, come on!”

Still, all hope for a Jesse Pinkman or Walter White revival is not lost. Last month, Bryan Cranston told CNN “never say never” to Walter popping up in a film or show. Aaron addressed Bryan’s comments when speaking with HuffPost this week.

“Let’s be honest, I don’t think we’re going to see more Breaking Bad, but I hope we might be able to play our character again in Better Call Saul, but that’s not solidified,” Aaron said of Bob Odenkirk’s spinoff show. “It’s not set in stone, there’s no plan of Jesse or Walt making an appearance in the first season of Better Call Saul. [But] who knows? Maybe in the future seasons.”

Saul Goodman - Walter White

One trick, Aaron noted, is that Better Call Saul is a prequel to Breaking Bad… And he’s only getting older.

“I mean, we’ve joked around about it, but it’s a prequel,” Aaron said. “I have no idea how [Jesse] would show up. I’m much older now. But I don’t look older, I look kinda younger, which is strange.”

Although he didn’t mention it, another potential issue would be finding a logical way to include pre-Breaking Bad Walter or Jesse considering they weren’t acquainted with Saul until Season 2, Episode 8.
