Alexis Neiers, the 18-year-old star of E!’s new reality series Pretty Wild, pleaded no contest to felony burglary charges Monday for her role in the “Bling Ring” robbery of actor Orlando Bloom’s home last year. She was sentenced to 6 months behind bars and three years of felony probation.
The young starlet and her mother Andrea Neiers sat down with Ken Baker from E! News for an exclusive interview to talk about her pending jail time, which is scheduled to begin June 24.Some excerpts of what Alexis had to say:
I’m going to jail, and of course, in my heart, it’s eating me up inside.
What I did yesterday was so difficult, and of course now I’m thinking more about the fact that yeah, on the 24th I’m going to jail.
I knew that if I went to trial my chances are slim.
I keep telling myself, you know, if Buddha can sit under a tree for forty years of meditating, I can do this.
I’ve got to prepare myself mentally as best as I can.
