MacKenzie Phillips, fresh from a year of quitting smack, painting the blood on her ceiling, and shuffling her father’s incestuous skeletons out of her family’s closet all with the help of Dr. Drew and Oprah, now has a new $50,000 face.
The 50-year-old rock-n-roll heir has struggled with addiction nearly all her life, ever since her father, John Phillips from the Mamas and The Papas, introduced her to drugs. In 2008 Mackenzie was arrested for drug possession at the airport. In 2009 she filmed the third Season of Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew (which aired in early 2010), and then published her revealing tell-all book High on Arrival, which detailed her incestuous relationship with her father. In the book, and on Oprah she called her long-term sexual relationship with her father “consensual,” but has since back-tracked on that word, because she now believes that no consensual incestuous relationships can exist because of the inherent power plays.
Mackenzie has recently had dental procedures, hair extentions, laser treatments, and Restylane and Botox injections, but this isn’t the first time she’s had cosmetic work done. In 2005, she was touting something called Sculptra injections, and has previously admitted to having her eyes done.
