CNN has filed a disturbing report on the maligned FLDS church led by imprisoned Warren Jeffs. The report alleges that devout followers are preparing for the end times based on a declaration from Jeffs that the world will end before 2013.
The 56-year-old leader is currently serving a life sentence for sexually assaulting two of his child brides. In spite of this conviction, he still continues to lead the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints from his jail cell.
The lone grocery store ran by the FLDS abruptly closed down, further fueling speculation and fears of possible drastic measures on behalf of the followers.

A former FLDS member, Isaac Wyle, spoke with KUTV out of Utah and stated that when the world doesn’t end Jeffs would blame his followers for not being faithful enough “It’s just Warren whipping them up into another frenzy to gather money.”
Wyle is probably right, but whenever you have the mix of a cult leader, devout followers and talks of end times it’s a cause for concern.
