VIDEO Heidi Klum’s modeling debut on German television at the age of 18

Tonight is the Season 10 premiere of Project Runway, and in honor of that historic milestone I thought I would share this amazing (and also historic!) video clip of Heidi Klum competing in a modeling competition on German television when she was only 18. Here’s Heidi’s intro from her Facebook wall:

Since so many of you have been responding to my early modeling photos, I wanted to show you how it all began… I won a televised modeling contest in Germany when I was 18 years old. Enjoy!

Where do I even start with any sort of commentary on this one?!? I suppose I could start with the host, who looks like Steve Sanders from Beverly Hills 90210 put through a premature aging machine. OK, I’m done with him. On to Heidi…

I’m speechless. Flawless awesomeness. One day you’re in, and the next day you’re in. (Did you see when she was sitting next to those gals on the couch and she just stared intently at the camera? She learned her intimidation tactics early!)
