VIDEO: Atlanta tornado forecaster Megan McGlover of “WMLM” reporting from her bathtub!

Megan McGlover delivers a weather report video from her bathtub

Atlanta blogger/YouTube personality Megan McGlover started the day with a weather forecast indicating “unpredictable weather”, wrote an eloquent blog post reflecting acceptance of the “changing weather patterns of life”, and ended it huddling in her bathtub with her dog, reconsidering EVERYTHING she had said earlier. And it makes for at least one little laugh we can allow ourselves in the midst of the devastating tornadoes that swept through Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, and other states in the Southeast.

After deciding that the theme of destructive weather made a fitting basis for her blog musings this morning, the popular Atlanta-based blogger wrote:

“…in the midst of being completely frustrated with this unpredictable weather, I realized that this weather is LIFE. Yes we are in-charge of our own destiny, but can we really predict the weather? Do we know when we’ll need an umbrella or sunscreen (not here in ATL, that’s for sure)… all we can do is know that at some point we will be outside in the thick of it.

“Life presents this same understanding, does it not? The trick is we must learn to dance in the rain and embrace the thunder. Once we do that, storms become the reason behind the Spring. Being from California, I’ve never endured a season with this much going on, however it has left me with a wonderful experience in change. After the turmoil there is nothing left but your perception, and how you perceive a flood depends on the size of your boat.

“My windows are open enjoying the breeze… don’t shut out change.”

Hilariously, by the time the evening rolled around and the ferocity of the oncoming storms was revealed, McGlover no longer had her “windows open enjoying the breeze”, but had them taped shut – the blogger wondering if she should put a mattress over her head next!

Armed with video camera and dog Bella, she recorded a four and a half minute rant that is an all-time YouTube classic. She covers a lot of ground in her video hysterics, including “hotel conversions”, advice to President Obama on dealing with Donald Trump, and her future plans in light of the bad Georgia weather. Watch:

In light of all the destruction these storms have wrought, the human spirit still has room for light-heartedness. God bless her…
