When it comes to social media, 90 Day Fiance couple Anfisa and Jorge Nava are notoriously private about their personal relationship. But after Jorge’s recent headline-grabbing arrest in Arizona, the couple thought it necessary to address questions and speculation with a joint Youtube video.
In case you missed it, we were the first site to report that Jorge was arrested in Arizona earlier this month after police reportedly discovered 293 pounds of high-quality marijuana in his vehicle during a traffic stop on Interstate 40. If you are a fan of the show then you are probably aware that Jorge is a licensed marijuana dealer in the state of California, but that doesn’t mean anything in Arizona — which has some of the toughest marijuana laws in the country.
“Hey guys, I’m sure a lot of you already heard the news about Jorge’s arrest,” Anfisa begins the clip. “And I’ve seen so many different versions of what happened online. And not all of them are correct. I had various media outlets reach out to me trying to get my comments on the matter. But I decided it’s better if I just make my own video and tell you everything. And you know, who can tell you about the situation better than Jorge?”
Jorge then takes over. “The only thing I can confirm is that I was arrested on February 7, and I was bailed out by my wife two days later,” Jorge says. “So I had to spend two days in jail. Other than that, due to the delicate nature of my case, I can’t really talk to the media. I can’t interview [with] anybody. I can’t talk about the details until all of this is over.”
Anfisa emphasizes that people should not believe everything they see online because they are just “assumptions.” She points out that “the only people who have facts is me and Jorge. So if you have questions, unfortunately we can’t answer all of them. But you’ll find your answers only coming from me or Jorge because if you find something somewhere else, it may not be true.”
There has been a lot of speculation online as to whether or not Anfisa’s immigration status may be in jeopardy if Jorge is found guilty of a felony, and Jorge tackled that topic next. “Anfisa’s green card would not be affected by what happened,” Jorge assures viewers, “so she ain’t going anywhere as long as she’s on my watch.”
Anfisa adds: “Yeah, sorry haters.”
And just in case the fact that they were making a video together wasn’t evidence enough, Anfisa and Jorge confirmed the major question that has hounded them for almost a year: Are they still together?
“Some time ago I made a post on my Instagram saying that I would like to keep my personal life private,” Anfisa begins, “but due to the crazy amount of speculation that’s going on, I just decided it’s better to share with you that we’re still together. Obviously as of 2018…”
Jorge interrupts with laughter: “As of 2018? We’ve never not been together!”
“We’ve never really broken up,” Anfisa affirms. “Yes we had our fights just like any other couple but we’re working through it. You know, everybody fights. Everybody is crazy.”
Anfisa then expresses her gratitude to those who have supported them and their relationship since their debut on 90 Day Fiance.
Jorge ends the clip by letting fans know they can expect to see more of #Jorfisa on Youtube from here on out. “We’re going to be bringing you a lot more content on this Youtube channel and I hope you guys enjoy it.” Anfisa says that viewers can ask questions in the comments section and they will be answering them tonight and/or tomorrow. “Subscribe to our channel,” Jorge says. “Don’t miss our next video.
