Sarah Palin’s daughter Bristol Palin has been thrust back into the national spotlight after being added to the cast of MTV’s popular Teen Mom OG reality series, and she is embracing the added attention by sharing more about her personal life on social media — including a pair of before-and-after photos that she prefaced by describing as a “little embarrassing.” But, judging from most everyone’s reactions (including my own), the photos were not so much a little embarrassing as they were a little confusing.
Let me start (just as Bristol did) with her cautionary preface for the photos, which were posted to her Instagram story on Sunday:
My next post is a little embarrassing but completely felt in my heart this morning that I should share..
BUT!!! Warning..
A.) I’m a COMPLETE WORK IN PROGRESS AND GOD IS WORKING IN ME EVERYDAY TO BE COME THE BEST VERSION OF MYSELF FOR MY KIDS
B.) I want to share to show what happens when you truly start to love, care, and respect yourself.

Bristol does appear to be a bit more slim and toned in the photo on the right, but I’m not understanding the “embarrassing” aspect of the photos. (I should point out that she is alone in the second photo, but I can’t imagine that is what Bristol meant.)
So what are your thoughts about Bristol’s pics and how she is “in the process” and “chipping away at it” in the photos?
