The first-ever subject of TLC’s Skin Tight is looking better than ever — and she’s got the pics to prove it! Our updated Skin Tight Lauana after photo gallery comes complete with Lauana’s latest updates, in which she says she’s come to terms with her scars, is learning to deal with the person she used to be, and continues to maintain a near-low weight level.
The Skin Tight Lauana after journey began with the show’s first-ever episode in 2016. Lauana had already lost a total of 173 pounds, dropping from 336 to 163. But the excess skin her weight loss left behind meant she dealt with serious back pain — to say nothing of body image issues.
“I’m always trying to hide behind my purse or whatever else I can carry to conceal myself,” Lauana said, “because I’m afraid people are going to see me, or people are going to judge me, or people are going to make fun of me, or hate me just because of the way I look and not even give me a chance.”
Since then, though, Lauana underwent successful skin removal surgery. And she chronicles her weight loss and body image journey regularly — with the encouragement of her more than 16,000 followers.
For starters, here’s the very latest Skin Tight Lauana after pics, which she shared during her regular Transformation Tuesday update last week. The before pic on the right appears to be from around 2014 or 2015; since then, as Lauana reminded a fan in the comments, she’s “had a tummy tuck, breast lift, arm lift and thigh lift”:
In another recent update, Lauana shared some of her plans for continued success in the month of March specifically. Unsurprisingly, they involve a great deal of effort…and a tremendous sacrifice. “So I’ve decided I’m going to try to ‘work out’ more in March,” Lauana said. “New month, why not. Also, less cheese. Get ready for cheese withdrawal tremors.”
And in yet *another* frank update, Lauana shared her measurements, as of March 1st of this year:
In fact, one of the hallmarks of the Skin Tight Lauana after experience is her total devotion to honesty, even in a public space like her social media pages. A few weeks ago, Lauana confessed that one of the difficulties of post-RNY life is dealing with what she used to look like:
Recently I have been wanting to forget that this was me. Wishing it never was. I hadn’t really experienced this before, and I’m not sure why I am now. Judging by her caption, she expected to get some heat from her followers — but the comments instead came from people who thanked her for “being real” and admitted that they felt the same way about themselves.

On a related note, while reading Lauana’s updates, we noticed that some of her throwback pics (and a couple of newer ones) make it clear that she’s a metal fan. So, we thought we’d pay tribute to all the work she’s put in to get where she is today with this embed of Slayer’s classic 1988 gig at the Felt Forum in New York City. Devotées will recall that this is the show where the fans ripped the foam out of the seats and were so violent that the venue almost canceled the show twice mid-performance:
