Shark Tank’s Robert Herjavec linked to DWTS partner after splitting from his wife
After announcing the end of his 25-year marriage, Shark Tank‘s Robert Herjavec reportedly foxtrotted right into the arms of his new Dancing With the Stars professional partner, Kym Johnson. (Pictured together above.)
“Kym and Robert were definitely attracted to each other from the get-go,” a source told Us Weekly. “They are constantly all over each other. She can’t stop talking about what a good, nice guy he is. They have insane chemistry and are actually a great match.”
Although a little chemistry is practically required and romance rumors are inevitable on the DWTS set, the dynamic between 51-year-old Robert and 38-year-old Kym doesn’t seem to be strictly business: Eyewitnesses at a Monday viewing partner said the pair was holding hands and stealing kisses before leaving together.
Robert announced his separation from wife Diane Plese to TMZ earlier this month. He added, “Human relationships are so difficult. I wish nothing but love and peace for our family as we move forward from this.”
Diane remains at the former couple’s home in Toronto with their three children. They have not yet formally filed for divorce. Considering they married before Robert made his estimated $100 million fortune, there’s a lot at stake.
UPDATE Speaking to People this week, Robert said his formal separation from Diane in July 2014 left him so distraught that he considered suicide. He found purpose by volunteering with the homeless population in Seattle for two weeks straight before taking a risk by joining Dancing With the Stars. Of his rumored romance with Kym, he said he’s just enjoying the experience of DWTS.
“The entire cast and crew of Dancing with the Stars is evolving into an extended family and is incredibly supportive,” he said. “Kym has become a great friend, and it is so much fun to be able to share this experience with her.”
