Scarlett Johansson’s cheap secret to beautiful skin


Scarlett Johansson always has a glowing complexion, and it turns out she has an inexpensive skin care secret!

The actress recently told Elle UK that she uses apple cider vinegar to keep her skin healthy and clear.

“A while back I started researching natural skincare,’ she explained. “It’s a nice way to treat your skin if you don’t want to use all those harsh chemicals that a dermatologist would recommend .. . If your skin is problematic or you’re having a lot of breakouts, it’s really healing. It’s a little bit stinky but if you’re not sleeping over at your boyfriend’s it’s really effective!”

She also uses lemon juice for lightening, but warns “It can be a little bit stinging, so you can dilute it with water. It’s a good trick and nice because it’s natural.”

Scarlett is onto something with the apple cider vinegar. It’s touted as a natural facial toner that helps eliminate and prevent acne, and make your pores smaller.

Apple cider vinegar is also good for your hair! Here’s how you use it:

For skin: Dilute one part apple cider vinegar in two parts water and use a cotton ball to apply over your face after you wash it at night and/or before you apply moisturizer in the morning. You can also leave it on over night to help reduce age spots or acne scars.

For hair: Put one part apple cider vinegar to one part water in a used shampoo bottle or spritzer. Several times a week rinse your hair with it after washing, and massage it into your scalp. Let the concoction sit a little while before rinsing with water. The result should be smooth, soft hair.
