Have you ever taken someone home from a night out on the town and regretted it in the morning? Well, a recent story regarding American Pie star Eddie Kaye Thomas (he played Finch) gives “morning after regret” a whole new meaning! Not only did his lady of the moment turn out to be a mistake — she also could have cost him his life!

According to a TMZ report, Eddie placed a call to police yesterday afternoon claiming that his female friend grabbed a knife from his kitchen and was threatening to kill him. Luckily, Eddie managed to get outside of the home and away from the woman. Moments later, the SWAT team arrived at his residence.

The SWAT team was able to barricade the woman inside of the Hollywood Hills home, but she refused to come out, causing a stand-off that lasted for hours.

Here’s a video report from ABC 7:

According to a neighbor of Eddie’s, who spoke with Celebuzz, “It was like a scene from a comedy movie … She was totally crazy. She kept claiming that she was a musician and that she had a concert to get too later that night.” The neighbor added, “It was hilarious, the poor guy [Eddie I assume] was begging through a police bullhorn for the woman to leave. He kept pleading ‘we are so concerned about you’.”

According to the eyewitness, the lady passed notes to police officials through a broken window and announced that she knew Lady Gaga, Christina Aguilera and Alice Cooper. “She appeared to have cut her hand. At one point she seemed ready to come out but she suddenly then demanded some pizza!”

From there, she was taken into custody and brought to a local hospital. She is now behind bars for felony vandalism. Her identity has nto been released yet.

Sources tell TMZ that Eddie met the woman less than 24 hours prior at the local Mel’s Diner. The two hit it off and Eddie took her back to his place where she appears to have spent the night. The next afternoon, Eddie and the woman got into an argument, which is when she pulled the knife on him.

During the dispute, the woman allegedly caused a fairly extensive amount of damage to Eddie’s home.

Come on Finch, you should have stuck with Stifler’s mom. She was never this dramatic.
