Ronnie Magro: Innocent In Bamboo Bar Brawl?
Ronnie Magro was caught in the middle of some serious drama earlier this month in Seaside Heights, NJ. While filming scenes for Jersey Shore season 6 at the Bamboo Bar, he and a few other cast members were involved in a full-on brawl! Jenni “Jwoww” Farley was even left on crutches.
Now, we are learning more about what happened from the owner of Bamboo Bar. “There were several individuals lobbing ice at the cast, and my staff asked them to leave,” John Saaddy told E! News. “One of [these people] went over and pushed one of the cast members from Pauly D’s show, who shoved him back. You see Ronnie in the video holding everyone back, pushing everyone away, and it’s clear. Then one of the individuals punched Ronnie in the face.”
Saaddy also said that Ronnie did throw one punch, but it was clearly in self-defense. “Ronnie hit the same guy who hit him,” Saaddy claims. “That’s the only guy Ronnie had an interaction with.”
Saady has turned over video surveillance of the fight to both the police and the lawyer who represents Justin Viterito. Viterito said he is waiting to view the video to see “if we will be charging another complaint against another cast member.”
Viterito filed charges against Magro just days ago claiming simple assault. In the claim, he said that Magro had attacked him and his friend Devon Chichele, leaving him with a laceration above his eye.
It is unknown who threw the first punch, however, if it is determined that Devon was the agressor, he could be thrown in the slammer. He is currently on probation after being charged with assault just one year ago and another fight would classify as a violation.
Justin and Devon had aquired legal representation just days after the fight and threatened Ronnie, Roger Matthews, MTV and Viacom with a lawsuit. Perhaps they just wanted a piece of that Jersey Shore fortune. Judging by what the bar owner is saying, it’s not looking like they’ll get it.
