REPORT Love & Hip Hop New Orleans begins filming, cast members revealed
Love & Hip Hop creator Mona Scott Young revealed back in 2013 that she was planning on expanding the franchise into new markets, including what would become Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood. But, in addition to Los Angeles, Mona also said they were looking at Houston and New Orleans, and according to a new report, filming began in the Big Easy today!
The scoop comes from inside The Shade Room:
A source has exclusively told us that filming has begun today for the new setting of the ratchet soap opera and the new location is …..the Nola baby!!! We don’t have too many details on the new show but what we can confirm are a few New Orleans cast members that we may have already loved from social media!
According to TSR, the list of LHHNO cast members include “Mystikal and social media personalities TokyoxVanity, Supa Cent, 10thWardBuck and his baby mama Trelly.”
Prior to TSR breaking the cast news, 10th Ward Buck seemed to confirm the casting news on Instagram with this text graphic:
And moments ago, 10th Ward Buck shared this next photo in a makeup chair with “#showtime NOLA” as the caption:
Since TSR’s post about the cast, a number of those named have been reacting to the response from fans — and of course, the insta-haters:
???. You gon be alright homie. Focus on your career and not the gossip?? https://t.co/DgjcNM3dUr

Trelly just tweeted, “I be getting money f**king hoes ?” moments ago, but I wasn’t able to embed it because of the profanity.
UPDATE – 10th Ward Buck has since seemed to debunk the current casting rumors. Many of his Instagram followers are saying he made a post on Instagram that included a statement from Mona Scott Young denying the Love & Hip Hop New Orleans report. Buck has since deleted that Instagram post, but I’m guessing this is the Twitter link:
With success comes hate but I didn't make the show ☕️ ???? y'all believe anything, social media… https://t.co/vfyWB7J5tn

Even if the LHHNO report is not true, it certainly seems like the majority of the names reported by TSR are up to something:
UPDATE 2 – Apparently it was Mona Scott Young herself that denied the rumor, at least according to Fameolous. The site shared this photo of the LHHNO logo image we created along with an alleged statement from Mona on Instagram. It’s unclear when Mona wrote the comment:
Prior to sharing that photo, Fameolous was shaking their collective damn head at The Shade Romm for saying their filming scoop was an “exclusive:”
It's not an exclusive if we broke the #loveandhiphopneworleans news 2 weeks ago when we tried to get Minicat on. Smh pic.twitter.com/axEuQFerrH

So is there a Love & Hip Hop New Orleans or not? My thoughts are right in line with the comments section: I have no idea. Even if Mona (and the other reported cast members) openly deny there is one, that doesn’t mean they’re telling the truth. I guess we will just have to wait and see. 🙁
So what do you think? Will you be tuning in for the Big Easy installment of Love & Hip Who Dat?
