Here are some images from the arraignment of NFL Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor who was arrested in Rampo, New York earlier today and charged with the statutory rape of a 16-year-old girl and patronizing a prostitute. The linebacker allegedly paid the girl and a man who appears to have been her pimp, Rasheed Davis, $300 to have sex with her.
The teen, who was reported as a runaway to New York police in March of this year, was reportedly able to reach a cell phone and text her uncle a location in New York City where she and Davis would probably return to. The uncle contacted police who were at the scene when she arrived with Davis and another unidentified woman.
The teen gave police the information that lead them to Lawrence Taylor’s room at the Holidome in Suffern, New York this morning around 4 am. Taylor was asleep at the time, but cooperated with the arresting officers.
He has been charged with rape in the 3rd degree, a class-E felony that carries a maximum prison sentence of 4 years and patronizing a prostitute in the 3rd degree, a misdemeanor with a maximum sentence of one year in prison.

The prosecution requested $100,000 bail.
Defense attorney claimed the request was ludicrous because his client faces less prison time for being convicted than jumping bail
Judge brought up Taylor’s recent hit and run incident in Florida as an indication that he might be a flight risk
The judge eventually decided on $75,000 bail
Taylor was ordered to stay away from the victim
