Damages Season 3 kicks off Monday night at 10 p.m. EST on FX, and Glenn Close will surely not disappoint when her character, the Draconian Patty Hewes, tackles a fictional version of Bernie Madoff.
The Madoff clone is named Louis Tobin (played by Len Cariou) and Patty Hewes is hired by the U.S. government to sniff out Tobin’s assets after his financial scheme goes bust and becomes public. If anyone can sniff out hidden assets, it’s Patty Hewes! She can strip a bone and suck the marrow out better than anyone.
As you might expect, the Ponzi scheme will be just another springboard for yet another season of back-stabbing back alley back-stories that play out like a well-written legal noir version of Melrose Place where power replaces childish desires as the Big Prize.
Lily Tomlin will also be featured as Tobin’s wife Marilyn and Martin Short will be the Tobin’s family attorney, Leonard Winstone.
When Patty’s through with you, there won’t be anything left . . .
