Pattie Mallette’s tell-all book “Nowhere But Up: The Story of Justin Bieber’s Mom”
Christian publisher Revell announced Tuesday that they have signed Justin Bieber’s mom Pattie Mallette to write Nowhere But Up: The Story of Justin Bieber’s Mom due out September 18.
In addition to sharing what it was like raising Justin, the book will also include a detailed account of Mallette’s life prior to getting pregnant at 18 – a troubled life that included youthful abuse, trauma, addiction, and a suicide attempt at 17.
Mallette hopes her story will help inspire other young women in similarly difficult situations. “I want them to see that no matter how desperate their circumstances may be, they can have hope for a better future,” she says.
Revell editorial director Jennifer Leep adds, “Pattie’s story is a powerful example of courage and determination that will inspire anyone who has faced struggles in life. She’s living proof that even in the darkest of places, there is always room for hope.”

Pattie Mallette currently assists in managing Justin’s career and supports numerous organizations helping troubled young women. A portion of the book’s proceeds will be donated to charity.
Assisting Pattie with the book will be co-writer A.J. Gregory. Justin Bieber will be writing the foreword.
Nowhere But Up‘s September release coincides with the release of Justin Bieber’s second book, Justin Bieber: Just Getting Started, scheduled for September 13. The book is billed as his “second official photographic book” and follows on the heels of The Bieb’s hugely successful First Step 2 Forever: My Story.
