Nick Gordon films “emotional” Dr. Phil interview en route to rehab
Nick Gordon, whose pleas to see comatose girlfriend Bobbi Kristina have grown ever more desperate in the weeks since her hospitalization, is set to enter rehab for an addiction to alcohol and pills. Before going, though, he stopped by Dr. Phil’s show for a heartfelt chat with the popular daytime talk show host. The interview was filmed just this week, and will air next Wednesday, March 11. According to inside sources, the two will discuss Gordon’s increasing dependence on alcohol and pills–including Xanax–and his willingness to admit a problem and turn to loved ones for guidance.
More than one media outlet has referred to the interview as an “intervention.”
Gordon has drawn attention in recent weeks for a series of increasingly desperate tweets relating to his girlfriend (and rumored wife) Bobbi Kristina Brown, who has been in a coma in an Atlanta hospital for over a month. As stories of Brown’s imminent death swirled, Gordon went so far as to get a huge tattoo dedicated to her spirit:

Gordon appears with his mother Michelle in the interview; of her child, Michelle Gordon says, “As we sit here right now, my son’s life hangs in the balance.”
Furthermore, Gordon confesses that he has suffered “pain, mental anguish and panic attacks” in the wake of Whitney Houston’s unexpected death, and that Bobbi Kristina’s hospitalization has wounded him all the more.
