MUG SHOT Florida woman arrested for driving with son on the hood of her car

Bridget Olinda Garcia, 32, of Port St. Lucie FL, has been charged with child abuse after driving away from her home with her son on the hood of her car.

The comedy began when Garcia took her oldest child’s phone away from him as punishment for an undisclosed act. This started a fight between the two, which escalated when Garcia announced she was leaving the home–temporarily, of course–and taking the other children with her.

The son, 13, then threatened to run away, because he is 13. Garcia did not respond, other than to gather her three remaining children and load them into the car.

As she backed down the driveway, the boy jumped onto the hood of the car, and began banging on it with his tiny, unheard fists.

Eyewitnesses reported that Garcia backed up with her son on the car for approximately 200 feet, and then put the car in drive and headed out for about another 200 feet, the child protesting all the while.

When Garcia did stop the car, her son fell off, and injured his hip, foot, and right knee. The injuries, according to police, were not life-threatening. The child has since been treated at a local hospital. Garcia was booked into the Port St. Lucie jail, but has since been released.

Rumors that Garcia is the new “Hot Mug Shot Person” for 2015 have yet to be substantiated.
