Grammy-winning MC Big Boi, real name Antwan Patton, half of the groundbreaking duo Outkast, was arrested on August 7 while disembarking a cruise down in Miami, reportedly after some well-trained sniffer dogs drew cops to him.
Patton was charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to reports, the drugs included Viagra and ecstasy. He was also carrying MDMA, the main ingredient in ecstasy. As for the Viagra thing that wasn’t good because he didn’t have a prescription for it. He left jail a few hours later on Sunday after posting $16,000 bail.
Boi’s lawyer Daniel Kane told CNN that:
“A small amount of contraband was found in the collective luggage. I am confident when the entire facts are aired Big Boi will be completely exonerated.”
