Man dons t-shirt with picture of his first mug shot for second mug shot

The award for most meta mug shot ever officially goes to Robert Burt of Maine.

When the 19-year-old was booked into the Somerset County Jail to serve a 48-hour sentence for his June DUI arrest, he sported a very special t-shirt made by a coworker: It featured Robert’s original mug shot and “Burt Family Reunion 8/8-8/10/2014.” According to Smoking Gun, the “family reunion” part was a reference to another family member who was incarcerated at the same time. (A picture of a cat drinking a beer was also included on the shirt, but it wasn’t visible in the second mug shot.)

Robert, who was released on Aug. 10, said the corrections officers got quite a kick out of his shirt.

“They laughed there a**es off haha [sic],” he said on Facebook, adding they made him hold the booking card “so you could see the shirt.”
