Mad Men Season 5 cast photos! Don Draper, Joan Harris, Peggy Olson… Errybody!
AMC’s perennial Emmy winning series Mad Men returns for its fifth season with a two-hour premiere on March 25, and on Monday the network released a batch of official cast photos for the upcoming run.
As you would expect from a show based on a high-end Madison Avenue advertising firm in the 1960s, the photos are beautifully stylized images with the cast wearing some of the immaculate period clothing that make the series so visually decadent. Surprisingly absent from the photos is the always-present murky cloud of cigarette smoke. But, making an appearance in a few of the shots are some of the most famous Mad Men cast members: glasses of liquor poured from Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce’s seemingly endless storeroom of booze.
Even January Jones’ increasingly unpleasant character Betty Draper Francis is included, getting a solo photo when neither Elisabeth Moss or Christina Hendricks could say the same.
Personally, I’m kind of a Lane Pryce junkie, so my favorite would have to be the one featuring him looming in the hallway with the flawlessly figured Joan Harris owning the foreground in a sepia-overlayed emerald green dress:
