Louis C.K. beautifully explains why kids shouldn’t be given smartphones

It seems like these days children are getting smartphones younger and younger, and while that enables them to learn more about technology, have a safety net if they need an emergency call, and sometimes even be tracked by their parents, constantly being glued to the internet and social media may be having detrimental effects on their emotional development.

Comedian Louis C.K. delved deeply into the emotional and perhaps spiritual ramifications of constantly being connected during a poetic rant last night on Conan. Needless to say, he won’t be getting his daughters smartphones any time soon. After listening to him I’m thinking that I probably need to quit my own smartphone:
