Latest on Bobbi Kristina: Police suspect foul play, Nick Gordon target of investigation
The police investigation into the Bobbi Kristina Brown near-drowning incident has reportedly become a criminal one as injuries found on her body have investigators targeting her boyfriend Nick Gordon after a possible altercation occurred between the two of them prior to her being found face down in a bath tub a week ago.
According to sources for TMZ, there is a history of violence between Bobbi and Nick and the alleged altercation may have taken place “more than an hour before Bobbi Kristina was found.”
Making matters worse for Nick Gordon are reports that his and Bobbi’s friend Max Lomas, who was in the house at the time and was the one who actually discovered Bobbi Kristina in the tub, is saying Nick “allegedly cleaned up the home and removed blood stains,” according to TMZ.
As we previously reported, Max discovered Bobbi Kristina during a visit from an Xfinity cable technician. But more details are beginning to emerge about the timeline which appear to further implicate Nick Gordon. From TMZ:
We’re told Max Lomas — the friend who discovered Bobbi Kristina in the tub — arrived at around 9 AM last Saturday. He says he hung out with Nick but did not see Bobbi Kristina. He was told she was in the bedroom. Nick wandered away and Max says he didn’t pay attention to his whereabouts.
The cable guy showed sometime after 10 AM and Max says he let him in — Nick was nowhere to be seen. The cable guy said he needed access to the bedroom so Max let him in and discovered Bobbi Kristina in the tub. He screamed for Nick, who ran in and administered CPR.
This account seems to contradict the former account of what happened which indicated Nick Gordon was showing the cable guy around the home when Max discovered Bobbi Kristina.
UPDATE – Family sources confirm to People that “Foul play is begin investigated…Including drug use and possibly cover up to remove evidence from the crime scene.”
Max Lomas has reportedly stopped speaking with police and is asking for immunity before saying anything more. Nick Gordon also remains silent.
Meanwhile, there are more details emerging about Bobbi Kristina and Nick’s legal issues prior to Saturday, including a warrant issued for Bobbi Kristina’s arrest just three days prior to the incident. “I confirm the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety had an active arrest warrant for Mrs. Bobbi Kristina Brown,” Public Information Officer George Gordon tells Radar Online. “The warrant was issued because Ms. Kristina Brown failed to show up for a mandatory court appearance after being cited for operating a motor vehicle with expired tag registration.”
In addition, Nick Gordon is due in court Monday morning stemming from a reckless driving charge in 2012. “A warrant for his immediate arrest will be issued if he does not turn up at Fulton County State Court in Atlanta at 9AM,” reports the Daily Mail.
The criminal investigation comes on the heels of a bloody brawl between Brown family members Thursday night and unsubstantiated reports from The National Enquirer that Bobbi Kristina was pregnant. There has been no update on Bobbi Kristina’s condition.
