Kim Kardashian and Emily Ratajkowski pose topless in ‘nothing to wear’ selfie

Kim Kardashian stirred up a global debate when she posted a censored nude selfie earlier this month and found herself submerged in a tidal wave of hateful comments from those who thought the picture was shameful. Kim later defended herself in a lengthy essay, and soon the tide seemed to shift in her favor as many celebrities (and media outlets like us) came to her defense.

Earlier today Kim showed she has a sense of humor about the whole thing when she recreated the pose (this time wearing pants) with “Blurred Lines” music video star Emily Ratajkowski. In the picture above, the two ladies are topless and expressing themselves in very rudimentary sign language. “When we’re like…we both have nothing to wear LOL,” Kim captioned the photo.

Emily shared the picture on Twitter and was quick to get ahead of the haters with a quick series of tweets:

However sexual our bodies may be, we need to have the freedom as women to choose when & how we express our sexuality.

Even if being sexualized by society’s gaze is demeaning, there must be a space where women can still be sexual when they choose to be.
