New revelations in the turbulent romantic history of Tristan Thompson have led his ex Khloe Kardashian to give her most forceful statement yet on the origins of Khloe and Tristan’s relationship. Earlier this week, newly unveiled documents from Tristan’s ongoing legal battle with his ex Jordan Craig revealed that Jordan claimed she experienced pregnancy complications due to reports of Tristan’s then-brand-new relationship with Khloe. The two started dating around Labor Day 2016, and plenty of reports since then have suggested, based on that information and when Tristan and Jordan allegedly split, that Tristan may have been cheating on Jordan with Khloe before their breakup.
With all that messy history firmly in mind, Khloe took to her Instagram Stories last night to lay down a barrage of counter-allegations. In her telling, Tristan and everyone close to him managed to convince Khloe that Tristan and Jordan were, in fact, done, and that he was free to be with her. Which of course doesn’t change the fact that Tristan maybe, in fact, wasn’t quite as done dating Jordan as he and those around him claimed — in which case Khloe is “completely and utterly sorry” that everyone “would lie on something like this.”

I’m disappointed that I even feel the need to post this but…I need to say my truth. Take it as you will.
My truth is: I met Tristan because HE CHOSE to go on a blind date with me. A mutual friend set us up. After going on some dates, Tristan told me that he had an ex that was pregnant. Obviously, I was reluctant about us continuing to date or start a relationship….[Tristan] pleaded with me that the relationship was over long before we met. He had me talk with his most inner circle. He showed me [proof] and had me on calls with his lawyers to prove his point. His best friends, business associates and even his mother told me, him and his ex were broken up before we met.
This is my truth! The truth that I believed and trusted. If for any reason this is NOT in fact the truth, I am so completely and utterly sorry that TRISTAN and his inner circle would lie on something like this!. I pray my truth is in fact that. Lord knows I pray but now, I really don’t know what to believe. Truthfully, from the deepest parts of my soul, I am sorry! I’m sorry for any pain that has been created either way. No woman deserves to go through anything like this!
Honestly, this comes off as a textbook example of too little, too late. It all comes back to what looks like Tristan lying and Khloe choosing to believe him. The “inner circle” has nothing to do with it; they all got their information from Tristan (and Jordan), just like Khloe. Tristan, even if he was and still is telling the truth and didn’t cheat with Khloe, was still willing to start dating Khloe almost the minute he finished breaking up with his still-pregnant ex-girlfriend. That is, by any reasonable emotional standard, not quite a clean break. (If you need more examples of Tristan moving quickly and sloppily, you might consider this one, and this one.)
But Khloe had to agree to all of this, too? Upon finding out about Jordan and her pregnancy “some dates” later, Khloe still chose to continue dating Tristan? Maybe I’ve been reading about / rolling my eyes at Khloe and Tristan’s relationship for way too long, because I can’t think of it without finding them both guilty. Khloe was the recipient of Tristan’s endless nonsense, true — but to stay with him even after finding out about Jordan, and then finding out about Tristan’s hotel trysts last spring, and that’s not even taking into account Lamar Odom…it’s hard for me to not feel like Khloe wound up looking foolish, after all.
I just hope this doesn’t end up with Tristan and Blac Chyna somehow getting together. From a personal standpoint, I mean. Professionally, I’d study up on witchcraft to help make that happen.
