Game of Thrones’ Maisie Williams doesn’t have nice words for adults, her peers
Now I understand why Game of Thrones‘ Maisie Williams plays Arya Stark so well: Both teens have the same no-nonsense attitudes.
“People think we’re f*cking stupid and we don’t know anything about anything. It’s really degrading,” the told the U.K.’s Dazed of how adults treat young people. “I get a lot of adults who are like, ‘You don’t know sh*t,’ and it’s like, ‘You don’t know sh*t. You have no idea what it’s like to be 17 years old.”
Speaking about her hopes for the country’s political and cultural future, 17-year-old Maisie said she realizes she’s in the unique position to influence others — and she wants to take advantage of that platform.
“I don’t wanna be liked just because I’m pretty. That’s f*cking boring, and I’m not that,” she said, throwing shade at some of her peers. “Lots of young people in the industry try to play it cool, but it just makes them look like arrogant d*ckheads. I’d much rather be liked because people realize that I’m standing up for myself.”
