Farrah Abraham returns to Teen Mom OG for Reunion sit down with Dr. Drew

Farrah Abraham Dr. Drew Teen Mom OG Reunion 2018

Even after filing a multi-million-dollar lawsuit for wrongful termination, Teen Mom OG star Farrah Abraham has apparently agreed to return to the show in the form of a sit down interview with Dr. Drew to be aired during the Teen Mom OG Season 7 Reunion.

MTV revealed Farrah’s return with a preview clip in which she could be seen sitting opposite Dr. Drew, as evidenced by the screen cap above. “I even had feelings about coming to sit with you today Dr. Drew,” Farrah says of her hesitation over returning to a network that she has repeatedly accused of s|ut shaming her off the show due to her involvement in the adult industry.

Although the preview was a bit of a shocker to most fans (myself included), it wasn’t a complete surprise as Farrah hinted at the possibility last month. “They’re still asking me to do a piece for the reunion,” Farrah said of show producers, which she called “spineless” just a few sentences later.

It’s unclear at this point how long Farrah’s interview will be with Dr. Drew, or when it will air. The Reunion looks to be broken into its usual two parts, with Part 1 on April 16 and Part 2 on April 23, but the episode descriptions do not reveal how they are broken down. The episode descriptions DO reveal Farrah’s future (or lack thereof) however: “Dr. Drew continues his discussion with Maci, Catelynn, Amber, and for the last time Farrah, to break down the biggest season yet,” it reads.

I should also point out that Farrah’s interview looks to have taken place on a completely different set than the other ladies — so I assume it was taped at a separate time as well.

UPDATE – Farrah shared our post on Twitter and then penned her reflectios on returning to the network with a lengthy Instagram caption for the photo above:

On last HOORAH with FARRAH @teenmom @mtv April 23rd. It’s been a great 10 year era of Farrah for Teen Mom I always make the most out of life and I’m so blessed I got to be that fighter, the strong women, the honest single parent, showing motherhood can be glamorous, Joy, happiness, memories & no regrets. Life is a challenge but to be an advocate for a young innocent child, lead, guide, love, succeed and give it your all is amazing, a once in a life time surprise, I’m blessed I graduated high school early, graduated college with 2 degrees, started 3 companies, have an international brand from all the support, became a new York times best selling author, became a actress, became the best Farrah I can be & travel the globe with my daughter.

I started all of this from Council Bluffs Iowa. I hope my start into my adult self from teenager to adulthood shows you as it showed me I can achieve for more then I could ever imagine God is amazing and we have not one or no thing can get in the way of our life destiny to be great! Life is beautiful & I’m thankful I was the (1) out of 10 teen moms statistically to over come the challenges and struggles of teen parenthood.

I want to add the struggles of being a teen parent were only half the struggles I felt but the other struggles from production, being famous, being a leader, political immature sh!t, the control & power trips from society really added more & I have to say I rose about all the evil and all the hate by focusing on myself, loving, growing and developing what’s next to better our world for future generations. I will always improve social causes and improve our world! #makinghistory #OG #teenmom #parenting #metoo #timesup #women #womenempowerment #tv #media #eco #farrahabraham #philanthropist #makingchange #environment #socialmedia #queen #slay #singlemom #singleparent

In case you missed it, Farrah settled her lawsuit with MTV (and parent company Viacom and production company 11th Street Productions) for an undisclosed amount late last month. In addition to the financial details, we also know nothing about the stipulations in the settlement — including whether or not they prevent Farrah from ever returning, or if they included a requirement that she sit with Dr. Drew. (Or perhaps Farrah demanded the sit down so she could have an opportunity to express her outrage to fans on TV?)

As far as her potential return to the show in future seasons, Farrah’s dad Michael Abraham seems to think that his daughter is leaving the door open (no, not THAT door). He tells OK! Magazine that the show is a lot different now than when they started on 16 and Pregnant nearly 10 years ago, and it would have to get back to telling honest stories about the cast before Farrah would consider returning.

“So yeah I mean I would consider if my daughter, it was my daughter’s project not mine, if Farrah was to see there would be some benefit for everyone involve including the viewers, we probably possibly would,” Michael says, adding, “…and that’s from me not her!”

So what did you think of Teen Mom OG without Farrah? Even if you don’t like her personally, do you miss the uniquely Farrah ingredient, or are the other three stories enough? Of course, there is still the very likely possibility that MTV will be replacing Farrah, with early reports indicating her replacement could be either Ryan Edwards’ wife Mackenzie Edwards or former Teen Mom 3 star Mackenzie McKee. I suppose we will all just have to wait and see.
