Demi Lovato has been hospitalized after a possible heroin overdose

Earlier today, Demi Lovato was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital after overdosing on drugs. Law enforcement told TMZ that it’s believed Demi overdosed on heroin though sources close to the singer told People it wasn’t.

Demi was found unconscious at her home in the Hollywood Hills. Paramedics treated her with a drug called Narcan which is used for narcotic overdoses. Narcan is described as “a prescription medicine used for the treatment of an opioid emergency such as an overdose or a possible opioid overdose with signs of breathing problems and severe sleepiness or not being able to respond.”

Demi was transported to the hospital around noon.

According to People, her current condition is listed as stable.

In June, Demi released a new song titled Sober in which she talks about falling off the wagon after six years:

Momma, I’m so sorry, I’m not sober anymore
And daddy, please forgive me for the drinks spilled on the floor
To the ones who never left me
We’ve been down this road before
I’m so sorry, I’m not sober anymore

We will keep you posted as we learn more about Demi’s condition.
