Cops discovered drugs in Bobbi Kristina’s house during second search, husband Nick Gordon’s family says he isn’t to blame
As Bobbi Kristina Brown continues to fight for her life after being discovered face-down and unresponsive in her bathtub on Saturday, the investigation into what caused the 21-year-old’s emergency is ongoing.
The latest development is that police discovered drugs during a second search of the home, Bobbi Kristina’s family told TMZ. The family sources said cops initially didn’t find drugs in the home because they were only searching “out in the open.” When they returned for a more thorough search, they uncovered drugs — although it’s unclear what type. Officers wouldn’t confirm the report to TMZ, but allegedly believed from the beginning that drugs were to blame.
Meanwhile, the family of Bobbi Kristina’s husband Nick Gordon said he isn’t responsible.
“There is always going to be a finger pointed at someone when it is this serious,” aunt Lisa Gordon told Radar Online. “He and a friend found her, so she’s a grown woman and she does whatever she feels she wants to do, whether or not her husband is around her or not… He’s not a bad person. He is a good person.”
The friend who was with Nick at the time of the discovery has been identified as Maxwell Lomas — and, disturbingly, he was arrested just two weeks before for “possession of alprazolam and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute” as well as possession of a firearm or knife with intent to commit felonies.
As for Bobbi Kristina, after showing “minimal response” in reaction to a brain stimulation test on Monday morning, she reportedly went on to flutter her eyes. Her family said her brain swelling has also gone down. A family source explained to People, “The doctor says that that by itself isn’t the smoking gun that she’s getting better, but it’s still a good sign. But she’s still not reacting.”
