Connecticut Style host Desiree Fontaine charged with shoplifting

New Haven, Connecticut television personality Desiree Fontaine has been accused of shoplifting more than a hundred dollars worth of merchandise from a department store!  Police say the WTNH traffic reporter and host of Connecticut Style was arrested on Saturday after they received a complaint from the Sears department store in Milford, Connecticut. 

Fontaine has been released after promising to appear in court on July 7th for a charge of sixth-degree-larceny for allegedly helping herself to exactly $104.98 worth of items without paying for them.  WTNH news director Kirk Varner was contacted but stated that the station, “doesn’t comment on personnel matters.”

The Milford Police department are not providing any information at this time on what the merchandise was that Fontaine has been accused of lifting.
