Chris Colfer’s children’s book to debut at #1 on New York Times best-seller list
Chris Colfer of Glee fame has transformed his notoriety from the hit musical show into a rather unique new career.
The actor has turned author as he’s written a children’s book called “The Land of Stories: The Wishing Spell.” He’s been out doing some signings and promotions and it looks like his hard work is going to pay off, big time. Colfer, who portrays the character Kurt Hummel on Glee, took to his Twitter account to spread (and probably leak) some exciting news about his new journey as an author:
Land of Stories is about 12-year-old Alex and her twin brother Conner, who fall into their grandmother’s magical fairy-tale book to travel to a place where characters like Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty are real. The book clocks in at 438 pages as it follows the twins as they collect important items in order to return home, all the while being hunted by a pack of big bad wolves.
Colfer first came up with the idea when he was 10-years-old but wrote the book between filming scenes for Glee. Congrats to Chris on adding, “New York Times best-selling author” to his résumé. Did I mention he’s just 22?
