TMZ broke a story that Charlie Sheen is in a serious condition after being rushed to the hospital this morning because of abdominal pains.
Sheen’s parents Martin Sheen and Janet Templeton are currently at the hospital with their son, but right now it’s unknown exactly what’s wrong. (UPDATE, TMZ says Sheen was reportedly treated for a hiatal hernia (a hernia in his stomach that can causes acid and food to back up into the esophagus, he’s had it for years. Radar Online is reporting that Sheen had a low red blood count, and is being checked for an ulcer that may have been brought on by his massive cocaine binge.)
An ambulance was called before 7 a.m. after a long night of partying with women. Neighbors heard 5 ladies singing the Red Hot Chili Peppers into the wee hours of the morning at Charlie’s place. He had been partying for about 36 hours with porn stars and massive amounts of cocaine.
This development comes after his co-star joked with Conan last night that he “checking TMZ, as I do every day, to know if I have to go to work at all.”
Hopefully this is a wake-up call for Sheen, and he finally gets the help he needs before he makes even more of a mess of his life.
