Camper sleepwalks off 60-foot cliff and…

Sleepwalking-cliff-diver

A Cincinnati man on a camping trip in Kentucky may not feel like the luckiest dude in the world right about now but he should!

This unidentified person was camping near the Red River Gorge when he sleepwalked off of a 60-foot cliff. He fell down the jagged edge and landed on the rocky, boulder-laden bottom below – and did not die!

Wolfe County rope technician John May told WDRB and FOX56:

“The campers who were with him found him at the bottom of a 60 foot cliff. The individual has a history of sleepwalking. So camping on a cliff ledge, that’s probably what led to this incident. It’s really a miracle. It’s quite remarkable.”

The rescue was a difficult one because of the jagged edges and dark, foggy conditions. After 4 hours they were able to lift the man out and he was taken to a nearby hospital where he was treated for a head injury as well as a dislocated shoulder and fractured leg.

May added, “From what we’ve been told he should make a full recovery.”

Amazing…
