Bravo plans Real Housewives of Florida return, but not in Miami
Bravo is in the process of casting a new Real Housewives show in Florida–but it will not be a return to Miami.
TMZ revealed earlier today that the network has already hired casting directors who are currently looking for potential new housewives in The Sunshine State. The site says the location has still not been determined, but lists West Pam Beach, Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton as being “on the table.”
Producers are apparently willing to go wherever the drama is, so I assume their decision-making process will be guided by the personalities that respond to their casting calls. Personally, I’d like to see the panhandle get the nod — who wouldn’t tune in to see The Real Housewives of Panama City? (Am I the only one who wants a Real Housewives spin on a relatively small town group? I’d love to see some of that super catty big-fish-in-a-small-pond drama handled Real Housewives style!)
Despite my hopes, I assume Bravo will find a new home in Southern Florida. I’m going to predict that they go with The Real Housewives of Orlando based solely on the fact that Andy Cohen LOOOOOOOOVES The Queen of Versailles star Jackie Siegel. Not only did Bravo pay to be the first non-streaming network to air the documentary, but she has been a guest on Watch What happens: Live! and was even featured on Flipping Out along with her gal pal, The Real Housewives of Miami star Lea Black. And judging from all the posts about her on Bravo’s website, it’s more than just Andy with a crush.
The only problem with Orlando is that the hashtag to promote the show would be #RHOO. LOL! I suppose we will all just have to wait and see.
