Brandi Glanville talks about RHOBH Season 3, the Lisa Vanderpump Reunion ambush, Gerard Butler and more!
Tonight is part one of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Reunion Special, which looks to be yet another emotional roller coaster as Bravolebrity Beverly Hillian drama mamas Kyle Richards, Camille Grammer, Adrienne Maloof, Lisa Vanderpump, Kim Richards, and Taylor Armstrong put on designer dresses, shoes, and jewelry for the most elegant annual cat fight in all of television!
Though technically not an official “Housewife” (yet), cast newbie Brandi Glanville will be joining the ladies towards the end of tonight’s episode, and she sat down with Lynn N Chicago to dish about some of the things we can expect to see, some shocking things we won’t see, and some reflections on her first year living her life on camera.
According to Brandi, one thing we can expect on tonight’s Reunion special is a pre-planned Lisa Vanderpump ambush! Brandi says she was contacted by other cast members prior to taping about a “strategy” meeting, but she decline to attend. She says that all the ladies, with the exception of Camille, met and discussed the show, including the plan to team up on Lisa.
“It was like Survivor,” Brandi says, “they meet up to go after one or the other and so you’ll hear me say, ‘I’m sorry I couldn’t make the meeting’ they planned it all beforehand. They all decided to have a go at Lisa and it’s all silly, petty stuff!”
Lynn asked Brandi is she thought Bravo was aware of their plans or if they had any hand in encouraging the ambush or any of the other drama during the season. “No, I really don’t think so,” Brandi says, “no one at Bravo ever told me what to say, there was plenty of drama, there was no need for Bravo to create any.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 2 Reunion sneak peek:
Brandi reveals that her rivalry with Kyle Richards, which began early in the season during the painfully awkward “Game Night” at Dana Wilkey’s rent-a-mansion and appeared to have since been all but extinguished, is rekindled during the Reunion as Kyle once again calls Brandi’s parenting skills into question – which, as we all know, Brandi has zero tolerance for. “The reunion opened some old wounds, we were OK and then we had to rehash the past arguments, it brings it all out again.” Brandi said. ”Kyle and I had some tough arguments but when it comes to my parenting skills, and my kids, you just don’t go there.”
Brandi then offered up her observations on Kyle Richards’ tumultuous relationship with her sister Kim Richards. “Kyle seems to almost enjoy the animosity between her and Kim, it’s like a competition. You know, they were both child actors but Kim was more successful and it seems to have followed them to adulthood.” Ouch!
Brandi Glanville moved on to talking about her much-maligned fellow newbie cast mate, Dana Wilkey. Brandi tells Lynn that Dana has a good heart, but “is desperately trying to get back onto the show for next season. She’s trying to stay relevant. She has a publicist that tells her exactly what to do and she does it.”
And speaking of getting back on the show for next season, Brandi says that Kyle and Lisa are the only confirmed cast members to be invited back, but that Bravo is expected to make their decision some time in March. Lynn asked her if she regretted doing the season, or if there is anything she would do different if given the chance, to which Brandi responded, “Nothing. I know it sounds odd but I really love it, there isn’t anything I would change, I am blessed.” And would she be willing to come back for Season 3? “I would come back but not as a ‘friend’ of the Housewives, it needs to be a full time kind of thing.”
Oh, and of course Brandi addressed her week-long hook up with actor Gerard Butler, which she regretfully revealed while playing “Plead the Fifth” on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live! last week. “If there is one thing I regret and would take back, it’s that!” But she goes on to clarify that her regret doesn’t mean she wasn’t telling the truth. “One thing I am not, is a liar, I said it and I can’t take it back.” Brandi says. ”What am I going to do now, go back and say I lied about it? No, I’m not going to do that!”
I’m a big fan of Brandi’s so I hope Bravo does invite her back. I think she can fill the villainess role so masterfully left behind by Camille Grammer, but Brandi would be a more lovable, Melrose Place inspired bad girl than Camille was, and would inspire lots of above-the-head snapping and cries of “Oh no she di-unt!”
