Bradley Cooper as Indiana Jones? Disney reportedly eying actor for reboot

Bradley Cooper - Indiana Jones

According to some sources, we may see Bradley Cooper as Indiana Jones in the relatively near future.

Latino Review reported this week that Disney and LusasFilm want to move forward on Indiana Jones 5, but their window to use Harrison Ford in the title role is shrinking — because he’s 71 and not as agile when swinging through ropes in the jungle anymore.

Instead of canning the project altogether if Harrison passes, sources said George Lucas and Disney are talking about who would make a good back-up Indy.

“Don’t think of it as a reboot but just recasting the same way the James Bond (Sean Connery, Roger Moore, Pierce Brosnan, Daniel Craig) movies have been doing for the better part of five decades,” Kellvin Chavez said for Latino Review, adding Bradley Cooper’s at the top of Lucas’ wish list.

Slash Films later said the reports aren’t true, but it’s unclear what part of the reports they are discrediting: Even if Bradley doesn’t crack the whip as Indiana Jones any time soon, Disney and LucasFilms do own the rights for another film and, as recently as last December, they were in talks to develop Indiana Jones 5.

Would you watch an Indiana Jones movie with Bradley Cooper in the lead role?
